<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Junior Accountant maintain and improve upon financial analysis procedures and schedules, ensure data integrity and that financial information is presented accurately and results are issued in a timely manner.</p> <p>What you will do in this role:</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in the financial month-end close and budgeting process </li><li>Own Marketing and Distribution Centers accounting for and recording transactions and reporting back to business owners/channel heads </li><li>Ownership and maintenance of general ledger and journal entries </li><li>Extensive P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and reporting </li><li>Perform product line and customer profitability analysis </li><li>Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet on a monthly basis </li><li>Maintain and improve upon existing dashboards </li><li>Perform ad hoc analysis of accounting transactions, operational performance, and general ledger accounts </li><li>Perform accrual accounting for vendor debits </li><li>Assist with internal control initiatives, policies and procedures </li><li>Assist with annual budget and year-end external statutory audits </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required</p> </li><li> <p>CPA designation with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience OR at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience without CPA</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in preparing and analyzing P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis, including product line and customer profitability</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial dashboards and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Experience supporting external audits and assessing internal controls is preferred</p> </li></ul>
