With manufacturing facilities in Iowa and Mississippi, New Way proudly builds trucks and parts for fleets in all 50 states, plus Canada, Latin America, and more.</p> <p>Currently we are seeking a Mounting Technician to join our team and be an essential part of our Scranton, Iowa manufacturing team. This role is essential to our final assembly process of the production of garbage trucks and mounting the truck to the chassis. This position provides multiple opportunities to learn different aspects of the mounting processes including chassis prep, hydraulics, and wiring. The person in this role will have some mechanical aptitude, be able to read a tape measure, and utilize hand and air tools.</p> <p>Your Role in Our Mission:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect and test your own work for function and appearance. </li><li>Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department. </li><li>Clean and maintain an orderly work area. </li><li>Ensure that the finished product matches the work order and any change orders. </li><li>Prepare the chassis for the body of the truck by installing a variety of brackets. </li><li>Modify the frame of the chassis to fit the truck body by moving around fuel tanks, relocating battery boxes, air tanks, and routing air and fuel lines.
