Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Auditing and inspecting incoming raw materials and packaging items to ensure they meet specifications. </li><li>Following SOPs and GMPs to test raw materials for various qualities, including color, flavor, temperature, moisture, pH, viscosity, density, salt, etc. </li><li>Verifying that all label information meets specifications. </li><li>Documenting and recording all quality information in Excel or SAP systems. </li><li>Implementing product holds, releases, preventative actions, and corrective actions on various products. </li><li>Setting up, maintaining, calibrating, and operating lab equipment, including refractometers, automatic titrators, pH meters, colorimeters, scales, Bostwick, Brookfield viscometers, etc. </li><li>Sampling and testing finished product goods, materials, and environmental samples. </li><li>Auditing production lines for quality, including code dates, fill weights, metal detection, and package integrity. </li><li>Preparing microbial testing materials, such as agar, buffer, dilution bottles, swabs, and petrifilm. </li><li>Performing other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Shift Details:</p> <ul> <li>3rd Shift | Monday to Friday | 10 PM - 6:30 AM (or 8:30 AM on some days) </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Chemistry </li><li>Biology </li><li>Laboratory techniques </li><li>Quality assurance and control </li><li>GMP and QC practices </li><li>Microbiology </li><li>Analytical skills </li><li>Wet chemistry </li><li>Titration </li><li>Viscosity testing </li><li>pH testing </li><li>Brix measurement </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in a Science discipline preferred. </li><li>Minimum 1 year of college-level science courses/labs required. </li><li>Minimum 1 year of industry lab experience in a GMP food manufacturing environment. </li><li>Ability to work 3rd shift. </li><li>Experience with SAP or quality management software. </li><li>Degree in Food Science. </li></ul> <p>Interested in this role?
