If you're looking to grow your skills in a supportive environment and work alongside a compassionate group of professionals, we'd love to meet you.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time | Wednesday - Saturday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>$20 - $25/hour, based on experience </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:We're looking for a CVT with at least 1 year of experience who is confident in:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Running and monitoring anesthesia</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting in surgery</p> </li><li> <p>Client communication</p> </li><li> <p>Venipuncture and IV catheter placement</p> </li><li> <p>All general technical duties</p> </li></ul> <p>You'll work with modern tools like Scribenote for AI charting, Impromed software, and in-house Heska lab equipment.</p> <p>About Us:We are a well-established, dog-and-cat-only hospital with a growing team, soon to include four veterinarians. </li></ul> <p>Optional Insurances Available</p> <ul> <li>Life Insurance AD&D </li><li>Short Term Disability Insurance </li><li>Long Term Disability Insurance </li><li>Critical Illness Insurance </li><li>Accidental Insurance </li></ul> <p>Pet Benefits</p> <p>Uniform Allowance</p> <p>CE Benefits - Credentialed Veterinary Technician receive a $500 continuing education stipend plus 24 paid CE hours per year, Access to our online learning platform with RACE approved CE at your fingertips.</p> <p>Internal Employee Rewards Program</p> <ul> <li>Reward your co-workers with points that are redeemable for gift cards. </li></ul> <p>We do offer externships for Veterinary Technicians and Vet Students.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Major Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for in-patient medical care- administer medications, assist or perform treatments, diagnostics & monitoring, place IV catheters, draw blood, run lab tests, administer IV fluids, cleaning, feeding, and walking patients as needed. </li><li>Anesthesia/Surgery - Our Veterinary Technician's prep, induction, maintenance, monitoring, recovery of patients, cleans/maintains/sterilize anesthesia equipment and surgical instruments. </li><li>Dentistry- Our Veterinary Technician's provide patient dental care, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, assist doctor with dental surgery. </li><li>Radiology - Our Veterinary Technician's position patients and assist with radiographs, sending radiographs via email. </li><li>Laboratory duties- Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for collecting, preparing, & running or submitting samples for requested tests; reading and recording results when indicated (fecals, Urines, Ear cytology etc) when requested by doctor. </li><li>Preparing invoices, discharge instructions, and client informational tools </li><li>Client communication for hospitalized patients - give patient updates, discharge instructions, and provide follow up for certain hospital patients. </li><li>Client medical demonstrations / education - teach/educate clients on at home care procedures. </li><li>Veterinary Technician appointments- blood draws for therapeutic monitoring / screening tests, bandage changes, post-op checks, suture removals, AG, TNT. </li><li>Clinic technician- assisting doctor with outpatient appointments, preparing, restocking, cleaning exam room, check patients in and out, take history and vitals, input data into patient medical record, ensure a smooth and timely flow of outpatient appointments from check-in to discharge. </li><li>Assist with reception/front desk duties as needed- answering phones, booking appointments, admit/discharge patients. </li><li>Assist in training and mentoring new team members. </li><li>Assist with inventory control - informing inventory manager when products are getting low/out, unpacking, restocking drug & medical supplies. </li><li>Preparing prescriptions - dispensed medications & medication refills. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>The veterinary technician must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker. </li><li>The veterinary technician must be able to endure sitting, standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods of time. </li><li>The veterinary technician must possess sufficient ambulatory skills to perform duties while in hospital environment. </li><li>The veterinary technician must be able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment that can be moderately high. </li><li>The veterinary technician will be routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medication/controlled substances. </li><li>The veterinary technician must have good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate equipment. </li></ul> <p>Reasonable Accommodations</p> <p>Applicants with disabilities may be entitled to reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and certain state or local laws.
