<p>Teaching Assistant Professor, Finance</p> <p>John Chambers College of Business & Economics</p> <p>West Virginia University - Morgantown, WV</p> <p>The Department of Finance at the John Chambers College of Business & Economics, West Virginia University, invites qualified applicants for a Teaching Assistant Professor position within the area of Finance. This is a full-time, 9-month, benefits eligible, non-tenure-track appointment with an anticipated start date in Fall 2026.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Teach an average of eight courses per year at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, covering various topics in finance, including insurance, banking, financial planning, among others. </li><li>Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery. </li><li>Actively contribute to departmental, college, and university service initiatives. </li><li>Participate in student mentoring, program development, and other academic activities. </li><li>A Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field (e.g., Economics, Accounting, Financial Planning) is required. </li><li>Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the collegiate level. </li><li>A strong commitment to student success and academic engagement. </li><li>All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. </li></ul> <p>Application Process</p> <p>Applicants should submit the following items electronically via the WVU Faculty Jobs Board at https://careers.wvu.edu/career-opportunities:</p> <ul> <li>A letter of interest. </li><li>Curriculum vitae. </li><li>Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., course evaluations, sample syllabi). </li><li>Contact information for three references. </li></ul> <p>Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
