They bridge cross-functional disciplines, balancing business, technical, and design constraints to transform ideas into thriving businesses and life changing medicine.</p> <p>The Digital Solutions team works across healthcare verticals and throughout all stages of company/product maturity. This includes developing innovation and investment strategies in targeted problem spaces, engaging with companies and partners in the opportunity pipeline, and aligning internal resources to accelerate commercial development and growth.</p> <p>Summer Associates support Digital Solutions team leadership in researching high value market spaces, evaluating solutions for strategic alignment, and due diligence on potential investments. Given the dynamic nature of the work at UPMC Enterprises, a Summer Associate will have one core project with additional responsibilities that may flex across several active engagements.</p> <p>As a UPMC Enterprises Summer Associate, you will have an opportunity to participate in a highly competitive, full time, 11-week paid summer internship program with an organization that's committed to finding solutions to the complicated challenges facing health care providers and their patients. Our work is to leverage creativity to tackle exciting projects that become life-changing products.</p> <p>This is a hybrid role with on-site presence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania required 3 days/week.</p> <p>Common Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Shaping UPMC Enterprises' hypotheses on market trends, health system and health plan dynamics, and competitive digital solutions landscape</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting due diligence efforts into new investment opportunities across varying stages of pipeline</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting financial forecasting, modeling, valuation, and returns analysis in alignment with industry standards</p> </li><li> <p>Managing solution value models for analyzing return on investment impact to targeted customers profiles</p> </li><li> <p>Synthesizing alignment within UPMC Health System/Health Plan strategy for operational value and capability advancement</p> </li><li> <p>Communicating activities, statuses, issues, and accomplishments to senior leadership and partners</p> </li><li> <p>Engaging and interviewing interdisciplinary teams and Subject Matter Experts across functional departments, including engineering, design, marketing, and finance teams to support diligence</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Health Administration or Master of Public Health 1st year students with December 2026-June 2027 anticipated graduation date. </li><li>Prior experience in finance, product management, healthcare management, or design are a plus </li><li>Availability to participate as a Summer Associate full-time, from June to August 2026 for approximately 10 weeks with minimal absence </li><li>On-site presence for at least three days a week </li><li>Candidates who demonstrate an interest in establishing a post-graduation residence in the Greater Pittsburgh Region </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
