<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Senior Category Manager develops, leads, and executes end-to-end sourcing strategies and procurement processes for the high speed metal stamping and spring coiling category that deliver value to the business by improving quality, ensuring on time delivery and service performance, ensuring capacity, reducing total cost of ownership, mitigating supply risk, aligning with suppliers on product roadmaps and innovative supplier technologies, and driving continuous improvement.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement global sourcing strategies for the metal stamping and spring coiling category that continuously improves quality, delivery, service, total cost of ownership, cash flow, and mitigates risk in the supply chain.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor global category market conditions, supplier innovation, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities specific to metal stamping and spring coiling.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and manage supply risks, ensuring continuity and scalability, Ensuring that suppliers can meet Insulet's global capacity requirements for metal stamping and spring coiling components.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish strong supplier relationships, and manage the metal stamping and spring coiling category spend and supplier performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as the primary escalation point and ensure timely resolution of issues and challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with key business stakeholders and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to measure and review supplier performance and ensure conformance to quality, delivery, service, cost, and risk mitigation goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the supplier selection process.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and execute negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and reduce total cost of ownership.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that all commercial terms are agreed and documented, and that NDAs, SOWs, and Purchase Agreements are executed on a timely basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform contract life-cycle management to include reviewing/renewing expiring contracts, updating pricing and commercial terms.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive year-over-year cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through annual negotiations and a pipeline of material cost optimization initiatives through design, competitive leverage, market intelligence, value analysis/value engineering, and process improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform total cost and pricing analysis, and monitor industry trends to achieve lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively identify and mitigate supply risk to ensure supply chain resiliency and continuity of supply.</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively identify and mitigate supply risk to ensure supply chain resiliency and continuity of supply.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties and lead projects as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree; Degree in business, supply chain, or engineering related discipline preferred; Master's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years' relevant experience leading a metals category in sourcing, negotiating, contracting, supplier management, and project management.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience in global strategic sourcing and supplier management of high speed metal stamping and spring coiling, using strategic category management techniques to achieve results.
