If you're a technician who is interested in learning a new skill, we'll train you to be a Spinning Set-Up Technician. In this critical role, you'll set up, operate, and fine-tune programmable and template spinning lathes. You will work closely with the shift supervisor to ensure smooth operations and efficient production throughout the department. You'll also help train and mentor team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.</p> <p>This is more than just a technical role-you'll lead by example, contribute to a culture of safety and quality, and help create products that customers love. Join our collaborative, supportive environment where your skills make a real difference every day.</p> <p>What you will get to do:</p> <ul> <li>Set up and operate programmable and template spinning lathes and associated equipment. </li><li>Perform machine adjustments and implement process improvements to enhance part quality and ensure optimal machine performance. </li><li>Assist with shift transition by communicating with the 2nd Shift Set-Up Technician. </li><li>Shrink wrap, tape, and weigh boxes and materials as needed. </li><li>Try out sample material, punches, and dies. </li><li>Train other set-up techs, assistants, and operators. </li><li>Monitor productivity by tracking downtime and cycle rates. </li><li>Create schedules, machine utilization plans, process documents, and set-up procedures. </li><li>Make data entries including bar coding, moving material, shipping, and receiving. </li><li>Load and unload trucks and properly locate raw materials. </li><li>Work closely with support departments to address maintenance or tooling concerns. </li><li>Make suggestions for departmental processes or improvements. </li><li>Organize spinning storage areas, cabinets, and documentation in a neat and orderly fashion. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring to the role:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, GED, or equivalent </li><li>1+ year experience in metal spinning or similar lathe operation preferred, but training will be provided. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude </li><li>Must maintain a reliable record of attendance and punctuality </li><li>Show initiative, motivation and be able to multi-task without direction </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Possess a strong sense of determination </li></ul> <p>About Us:</p> <p>Nordic Ware is a leading manufacturer of high quality and innovative kitchenware products.
