<p>Position Title: HVAC Technician</p> <p>Location: Wilton, CT</p> <p>Clearance Requirements: No clearance required</p> <p>Position Status: Contract</p> <p>Pay Rate: $38/hr - $40/hr on W2</p> <p>Position Description:</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support commercial and industrial facilities in Wilton, CT. This role involves performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on a variety of HVAC systems while also providing support across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is skilled in commercial HVAC service, knowledgeable in controls and system operations, and comfortable working directly with clients while delivering high-quality service.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing HVAC professional looking to work with advanced systems, sharpen multi-craft skills, and contribute to a strong customer-focused team.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform complete preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including package units and split systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect, repair, and replace belts, pulleys, motors, heat exchangers, and other mechanical components.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose and repair issues related to steam/hot water boiler systems, airflow, and ducting.</p> </li><li> <p>Handle refrigerants in an EPA-compliant manner and support safe, efficient system operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system failures involving compressors, condensing units, circuit boards, controls, and copper brazing.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain, test, and repair AC motor controls; install and troubleshoot VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).</p> </li><li> <p>Complete work orders, asset inspections, and service reports with accuracy and detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize tablets/smartphones for documentation, communication, and workflow management.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide excellent customer service, maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow all OSHA standards, safety procedures, building codes, and compliance requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional multi-craft maintenance tasks as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Education:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School diploma or trade certification in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing HVAC service.</p> </li><li> <p>EPA Universal Certification required.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of HVAC controls, sequence of operations, and commercial systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and system failures.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with AC motor controls and VFD installation/troubleshooting.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in reading instructions, safety manuals, and technical documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with clients effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license in good standing.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>About Seneca Resources</p> <p>At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm-we are a trusted career partner.
