They can send you a link to apply directly so they can receive credit!</p> <p>Job Posting End Date: This job posting will be removed on April 10, 2026.</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <p>Perform entry level activities related to accounting and financial functions (as specified by position).</p> <p>Prepare journal entries, records, account reconciliations, and reports, related to accounting or finance.</p> <p>Help prepare applicable spreadsheet models and distributed applications such as those used in finance and other accounting activities.</p> <p>Perform calculations including:</p> <ul> <li>Ratios </li><li>Percentages and discounts </li><li>Depreciations (book) </li><li>Account charges </li><li>Financial ratios </li></ul> <p>Assist with preparation and verification of financial information including:</p> <ul> <li>Actual to forecast and historical period variance analysis </li><li>Governmental/regulatory reports Invoices </li><li>Financial reports* Reconciliation reports </li><li>Quarterly income statements </li></ul> <p>Provide information and assistance to management, and others concerning accounting processes and financial reports.</p> <p>Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and applicable Regulatory Requirements.</p> <p>Make recommendations to improve current job and desk activities</p> <p>Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.</p> <p>Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.</p> <p>Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.</p> <p>What You Will Need</p> <p>Preferred Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance or other related field with previous experience working in accounting functions, or equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience</p> <p>Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting methods and procedures.</p> <p>Perform various accounting activities.</p> <p>Demonstrated ability with the application of math and algebraic formulas.</p> <p>Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.</p> <p>Working knowledge and training related to:</p> <ul> <li>Spreadsheet and word processing software applications </li><li>Financial accounting and reporting standards and processes (specified by position) </li><li>Communication/interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>Research and compose reports and correspondence applicable to position.</p> <p>Read and interpret accounting -related publications, requests, and company correspondence.</p> <p>Collaborate with internal and external customers.</p> <p>Prepare information for individuals and groups.</p> <p>Read and write fluently in English.</p> <p>Minimum NAMobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.</p> <p>Communicate and exchange information or verbal instructions and conduct oral presentations.</p> <p>Visual ability to perform job responsibilities.</p> <p>Diversity at ONE Gas</p> <p>Inclusion & Diversity is so important to us that we made it one of our core values, values that guide and direct our actions as we go about our daily business.
