<p>Introduction</p> <p>A Technology Sales Specialist role within IBM Cloud and Power means you're providing clients with the heartbeat of their digital enterprise. Part of a team, you'll be surrounded by bright minds and keen co-creators - always willing to help and be helped - as you apply passion to work that will compel our clients to invest in IBM's products and services.</p> <p>Your role and responsibilities</p> <p>As a Brand Sales Specialist for both Power and Cloud Platform Portfolio, you will sell a range of on premise Power and cloud-based offerings, including Application Modernization, Business Continuity & Data Resiliency Solutions, Cloud Migration Solutions, Cloud Native Offerings, and more. You will work with clients to identify and implement solutions that meet their business needs, leveraging IBM's extensive portfolio of cloud products and services. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Solution Sales Strategies: Design and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand IBM's cloud footprint in the market, focusing on key offerings such as Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, IBM Cloud Backup, and Cloud Paks on Red Hat OpenShift. • Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and develop tailored solutions that address their needs, utilizing IBM's cloud migration solutions for IBM Power, VMware workloads, and SAP workloads. • Deliver Cloud Solutions: Implement and deliver cloud solutions, including IBM Public Cloud for Financial Services and IBM Cloud Satellite, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. • Identify New Opportunities: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging IBM's cloud native offerings, such as IBM Kubernetes Service and IBM Cloud Databases. • Optimize Sales Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize sales performance, analyzing market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market.</p> <p>Required education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Required technical and professional expertise</p> <ul> <li>Cloud Platform Portfolio Knowledge: Experience with cloud-based offerings, including Application Modernization, Business Continuity & Data Resiliency Solutions, Cloud Migration Solutions, and Cloud Native Offerings, with a focus on IBM's cloud products and services. • Solution Sales Strategy Development: Experience developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand cloud footprint in the market, with a focus on key offerings such as Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud and Cloud Paks on Red Hat OpenShift. • Cloud Solution Implementation: Experience implementing and delivering cloud solutions, including cloud migration solutions for IBM Power, VMware workloads, and SAP workloads, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. • Cloud Native Offering Expertise: Experience with cloud native offerings, such as IBM Kubernetes Service and IBM Cloud Databases, with the ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities. • Market Trend Analysis: Experience analyzing market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market and continuously optimize sales performance. </li><li>Excellent Communication and Presentation: Skills that engage, compel, and influence effectively. </li><li>In-Depth Knowledge of Power: A wide range of expertise regarding Power, enabling to consult and advise clients, and rapidly establish reputation as a credible and trusted advisor for clients (training on IBM's Power offerings will be provided). </li><li>Experienced and skilled with working and teaming with Business Partners. </li><li>Ability to articulate business models, value, pricing, terms. </li></ul> <p>Preferred technical and professional experience</p> <ul> <li>Cloud Migration Expertise: Experience with cloud migration solutions for IBM Power, VMware workloads, and SAP workloads, with knowledge of IBM's cloud products and services, including IBM Cloud Backup and Cloud Paks on Red Hat OpenShift. • Cloud Native Technologies: Experience with cloud native offerings, such as IBM Kubernetes Service and IBM Cloud Databases, with the ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities. • Market Analysis Skills: Experience analyzing market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market and continuously optimize sales performance, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding cloud footprint. </li></ul> <p>ABOUT BUSINESS UNIT</p> <p>IBM has a global presence, operating in more than 175 countries with a broad-based geographic distribution of revenue. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.</p> <p>This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.</p>
