In this role, you will provide safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment. You will be responsible for case cart management and ensuring compliance with departmental standards</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works evenings from 10:00am to 6:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays. This position will be stationed at A Building (Crile) at Main Campus.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide case care management. </li><li>Properly handle equipment, instruments and chemicals. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance. </li><li>Observe personal protective equipment standards in the decontamination process. </li><li>Scan, sort, inspect and assemble, wrap and label instruments by instrument list as documented in the procedure. </li><li>Perform record keeping. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Sterile Processing certification (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT, CFER, or CER) is required within 18 months after hire, unless an extension is granted at the purview of leadership </li><li>Can use the computerized instrument tracking system to perform assigned duties, including obtaining instrument count sheets, special handling instructions for instrumentation, documenting sterilization loads, and other tasks </li><li>Military experience , such as Hospital Corpsmen (HM), Machinery Repairman (MR), Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2A3X3), Biomedical Equipment Specialist (68A), Small Arms Repairer (91F), or similar, will be considered </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>One year of Healthcare experience or a similar background in Mechanical/Manufacturing Assembly </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull and navigate supply carts weighing >than 75 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $19.50</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $27.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
