<p>Your responsibilities</p> <p>The Field Supervisor performs supervisory functions for the tkIS location in Milwaukee, WI. The position involves the organizing, directing, evaluating, and controlling of field repair activities in accordance with company and customer expectations, plans, specifications, schedules, and budget.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise Field Mechanic/Welding personnel performing Field Repair work. </li><li>Ensure workplace safety standards are maintained. </li><li>Interact and work closely with customers, contractors, engineers, and project managers to achieve customer expectations and goals. </li><li>Perform workplace inspections. </li><li>Plan and coordinate the daily scope of work and during service projects. </li><li>Provide detailed instructions to Field support personnel including equipment and supplies required for upcoming Field Repair projects. </li><li>Coordinate and schedule services required for Field Repair projects (for example, crane services, rental equipment, welding consumables and gasses). </li><li>Work overtime and weekends as required by project schedules. </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to safety. </li><li>Please note the duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and could change with or without notice. Other duties may be assigned as needed. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>Required Education & Experience:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED; and/or 5 years of related experience and training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Required Knowledge & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data and drawings. </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. </li><li>Effective coping skills to work in a potentially stressful environment which includes the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting customer commitments and internal objectives. </li><li>The ability to respond quickly, decisively, and appropriately to problems is very important. </li><li>The ability to understand and communicate complex and/or technical concepts is critical to the success of this position. </li><li>Candidate must possess a valid US driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Company</p> <p>thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc. specializes in the design and construction of turnkey cement plants.
