If unavailable, at least one year of experience in shipping/receiving, or storeroom work.</p> <p>Two years of general food service experience may be substituted for one year of shipping/receiving or storeroom experience.</p> <p>Valid driver's license; ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.</p> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <p>FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THIS POSITION, PLEASE COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Receive a wide variety of freight.</p> <p>Use computerized system to count and identify items, matching purchase orders with shipping/receiving documents.</p> <p>Use computerized system to store materials in designated areas including walk-in freezers and coolers.</p> <p>Rotate stock to comply with first in first out policy.</p> <p>Pick orders from computer generated transfers.</p> <p>Assist in the computerized control of inventory as required.</p> <p>May drive truck to deliver food and supplies to campus. Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks.</p> <p>Maintain work areas in safe, sanitary and efficient operating conditions. Observe safety regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Standing 85% - 100% of the shift</p> <ul> <li>Frequent bending at the waist; able to bend to below the knee </li><li>Frequent stooping and/or crouching </li><li>Frequent walking back and forth between loading dock, stock room, freezers, and kitchen areas </li><li>Frequent twisting and bending of head, neck, and torso </li><li>Full range of arm movement (extension, twisting, and bending of arm and shoulder, reaching overhead </li><li>Frequently lift items that weigh up to 100 lbs; ability to lift from overhead items weighing up to 100 pounds; load and unload items weighing up to 100 lbs </li><li>Able to push and pull carts/pallets carrying up to 500 lbs </li><li>Wrist and finger dexterity (i.e. ability to use box cutters, scissors, pens; fine motor and tactile skills, including typing or touch screen data entry on computer, calculator, etc.) </li><li>May work in conditions of elevated heat and cold, including outside </li><li>Periodically work on ladders or at other elevated heights </li></ul> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Operate a variety of equipment including hand truck, cart, manual and mechanical lift trucks, delivery vehicle, etc., hand held calculator.</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
