<p>Join Our Caring Children's Therapy Center Team!</p> <p>We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Administrative Assistant to support our vibrant children's therapy center. In this front-desk role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for families, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment. This position functions similarly to a medical receptionist, with responsibilities including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, coordinating with therapists, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across our two locations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Sorts, distributes, prioritizes and composes routine correspondence following established procedures not requiring management review. (i.e., reads correspondence/ highlights important items and sends to supervisor, sends emails sent on behalf of dept. head, writes and sends meeting reminders, forwards emails to appropriate distribution list on behalf of department head). </li><li>Performs routine clerical functions, such as copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, filing, and typing. </li><li>Sets up and maintains varied office files, logs, and records office activities in Word or Excel format. </li><li>Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and messages from patients and coworkers.. </li><li>Greets, screens, and directs visitors to appropriate staff member. </li><li>Registers patients into registration system, collects co-pays and patient signatures as needed. </li><li>Completes new patient intake process and arrives/checks in patients for their appointments. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a medical office as well as experience processing insurance authorizations.</p> <p>Schedule/Travel: We offer flexible scheduling with the option of either 6-hour or 8-hour shifts, depending on the candidate's preference and availability.</p> <ul> <li>6-hour shifts: Monday through Thursday </li><li>8-hour shifts: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday </li><li>Shift hours: Between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM </li></ul> <p>Travel between our two office locations in McMurray and Washington, PA is required.</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Up to one year administrative experience preferred. </li><li>Working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software. </li><li>Ability to use applicable MS Suite products. </li><li>Knowledge of business processes and procedures. </li><li>Ability to use basic reasoning skills. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal </li><li>Act 33 with renewal </li><li>Act 34 with renewal </li><li>Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
