Guided by our values of integrity, respect, accountability and excellence, we use leading science and technology to move fiber-based packaging forward.</p> <p>Employer: WestRock Services, LLC (d/b/a Smurfit Westrock)</p> <p>Job Title: Electrical Engineer (multiple openings)</p> <p>ATR: ATR54298</p> <p>Job Location: 53 Industrial Drive, Syracuse, NY 13204</p> <p>Job Type: Full Time</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Manage multiple capital projects (primarily electrical, instrumentation and/or controls), including design, purchasing, contract and construction management, financial and documentation </li><li>Project development within a structured environment on such things as Front End Loading </li><li>Provide E&I project engineering support to the mechanical project engineers on their projects </li><li>Work with Purchasing Dept. to identify all project materials and equipment for project completion </li><li>Assist in the attainment of general mill goals by serving on special teams or supplying teams with necessary technical support </li><li>Responsible for coordinating engineering and project activities while interacting with Maintenance and Operations </li><li>Supply technical assistance for mechanical equipment failure analysis and preservation on existing mill equipment </li><li>Prepare, review and update mill specifications and review management of change proposals </li><li>Provide E&I expertise on maintenance work orders as needed </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Employer will accept a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation.</p> <p>Position Requires Experience In The Following</p> <ul> <li>Process design, power distribution, PLC / DCS and variable speed drives. </li><li>Capital project development, execution, and installation/commissioning. </li><li>Troubleshooting plant electrical equipment and systems. </li><li>Supporting plant maintenance team on preventive maintenance activities, including equipment obsolescence planning and spare parts procurement strategy. </li></ul> <p>The base pay range for this position in Syracuse, NY is USD $128,024-$195,000(year). Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado.
