<p>POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Facilities Technician I</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Facilities</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Maintenance Coordinator</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Nonexempt</p> <p>CREATED DATE: 8/25/2015</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Facilities Technician I assists in fulfilling building maintenance requests of internal customers through a ticketing system, helps to ensure the safety and security of CCHS buildings and property, and helps to ensure the organization's compliance with applicable OSHA standards.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in a variety of trade disciplines including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry at multiple locations. </li><li>Operate light motorized equipment, hand and power tools skillfully and safely. </li><li>Perform facility set up, tear down, and moving. </li><li>Assist with pickup and delivery of supplies and furnishings to various locations. </li><li>Learn and retain specific and general information concerning facilities, equipment, functions, and projects. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>JOBS THIS POSITION DIRECTLY SUPERVISES</p> <p>Depending upon work site, the Facilities Technician I may supervise one or more of the following jobs.</p> <p>Job Title</p> <p>Number of Incumbents</p> <p>n/a</p> <p>0</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Education: High School diploma or GED required.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum of one year experience in a large physical plant facilities team.</p> <p>Skills and Abilities: Able to read, write and communicate effectively. Understands oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently. Excellent customer services skills required. Passion for service, experience leading and living in a service-oriented culture. Impeccable integrity is a requirement. Must be a team player who is able to work in teams with people of diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.</p> <p>Licenses or Certifications: Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance.</p> <p>Mental Requirements</p> <p>Level 1 - Requires some concentration and normal attention. Perform a variety of physical tasks associated including sitting, standing with movement, walking, bending/stooping, crawling, climbing (including on ladders), reaching above shoulder, crouching, kneeling, lifting (at least 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and pulling, repetitive motion.</p>
