<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Fits and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assembly by performing the following duties.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Fit up parts prior to weld. </li><li>MIG or TIG various parts in different material types. </li><li>Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check quality requirements. </li><li>Personally, conduct all quality checks before moving to Quality Department. </li><li>Understand and interpret prints and technical drawings. </li><li>Grinding, sanding and cutting using a plasma cutter, as required. </li><li>Adhere to Lean Manufacturing initiatives, quality requirements and all safety programs. </li><li>Bluco </li><li>Advance position qualification (minimum 3G) </li><li>Multi-pass certification </li><li>Oxy/Fuel or Plasma </li><li>Robot Operator </li><li>Spot Weld </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Demonstrated success is fit-up of parts to be welded. </li><li>Math and blueprint skills. </li><li>Self-starter, capable of completing task(s) with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
