<p>The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Coordinates delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff. Maintains performance activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from a New York State Registered or Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) / American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Accredited Physical Therapy Program </li><li>Three (3) or more years of experience in all aspects of physical therapy. </li><li>Current New York State Licensed Physical Therapist </li><li>Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) </li><li>Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology </li><li>Knowledge of physical therapy machine operation, maintenance and repairs of same. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. </li><li>Strong written and verbal skills. </li></ul>
