<p>Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Entry-Level (Foundational)</p> <p>Work Experience Description:</p> <p>Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.</p> <p>Department</p> <p>Guides (Multi-Purpose/Ambassador)</p> <p>Position Scope</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides guided walking tour in the guest's native language.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists guests throughout the tour, answering questions whenever possible.</p> </li><li> <p>Receives guest arrival information and provides initial greeting and orientation.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Japanese.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a basic knowledge about the various cultural areas encountered during the tour.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires good health and a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be fluent in a designated foreign language.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be capable of a full range of body movement and be capable of moving freely among the guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>No prior work experience required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Must attach Resume and current class schedule (WEEKLY VIEW).</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>4 days TBD, 11:30AM - 5:00PM, 19 hrs.</p> <p>Pay Rate</p> <p>$14.00/Hour</p> <p>Must be able to work weekends and fulfill a three-day weekly shift.</p> <p>All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.</p> <p>Approximate starting hourly rate:</p> <p>$14.00 - $16.00</p> <p>The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.</p> <ul> <li>Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations </li><li>Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks </li></ul>
