<p>Allied is seeking a 2nd Vice President, Auto Risk Management Products to lead at the intersection of innovation, execution, and enterprise alignment. This strategic role is responsible for shaping and driving a multi-year roadmap that defines Allied's market strategy, ensures product excellence, and delivers profitable growth.</p> <p>As the business owner for Auto Risk Management Products, you will oversee the full P&L, manage budgets, and make bold, data-driven decisions that balance client needs with revenue and margin goals. Your expertise in Auto Loan Tracking & Insurance Monitoring, combined with deep knowledge of forced place insurance programs-including Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI), Single Monthly Premium (SMP), and Vendor Single Interest (VSI)-will be critical to success.</p> <p>Reporting to the VP, Risk Management Products, you will collaborate across Product, ETG, Operations, Accounting, and Distribution, and engage with executive leadership and key partners (providers, carriers, suppliers) to capture Allied's share of the Total Addressable Market (TAM). This role demands a visionary leader who can establish foundational processes, foster cross-functional alignment, and navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Strategic Product and Provider/Partner Leadership - 40%</p> <ul> <li>Align product strategy with enterprise goals and market opportunities. </li><li>Define and communicate product vision and strategic objectives. </li><li>Lead product discovery and validation efforts while evaluating new ideas and initiatives for strategic fit and timing. </li><li>Determine key strategic partnerships necessary to achieve scale in order to meet Revenue and Margin expectations; manage partner relationships and engagement plan. </li><li>Represent Allied Solutions Product Suite with customers and partners to gather and share information, assess fit and build relationships. </li><li>Lead Carrier and Partner management, ensuring strategic alignment, performance and mutual value creation. This includes negotiating and managing agreements, driving go to market initiatives and fostering collaboration to enhance product offerings. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence - 20%</p> <ul> <li>Partner with other product leaders, Operational Leaders, and Executive Teams. </li><li>Facilitate alignment across departments including software development/software engineering, marketing, sales, and client services. </li><li>Navigate competing priorities and foster consensus without compromising focus. </li><li>Direct rigorous prioritization of Product roadmap and strategy, creating alignment around Now, Next, Later. </li><li>Represent product strategy in executive forums and decision-making bodies. </li></ul> <p>Organizational Development & Process Building - 15%</p> <ul> <li>Help build the product organization's structure, processes, and rituals. </li><li>Define roles, responsibilities, and workflows for new product teams. </li><li>Champion Agile and Lean methodologies tailored to Allied's context. </li><li>Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Team Enablement - 15%</p> <ul> <li>Hire, train, coach and mentor Product Managers and cross-functional peers. </li><li>Influence without direct authority across multiple teams and functions. </li><li>Foster a culture of trust, open communication, and clarity for teams to operate autonomously. </li><li>Promote structured thinking and strategic decision-making across teams. </li><li>Own personnel matters involving direct reports, including recruiting, separations, time off, performance evaluations, rewards recommendations and career development planning. </li><li>Allocate and track resources, demand, and capacity to ensure strong levels of employee utilization and engagement. </li></ul> <p>Execution Oversight & Focus Management - 10%</p> <ul> <li>Monitor execution quality and remove bottlenecks. </li><li>Protect teams from scope creep and organizational distractions. </li><li>Ensure delivery is tied to outcomes, not just timelines. </li><li>Operate as a business owner, responsible for defining, tracking and reporting product performance metrics (revenue, expense, margin, sales units, etc) to inform future decisions while managing the Product's Budget and full Profit & Loss (P&L). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):</p> <ul> <li>Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. </li><li>Preferred: MBA or Master's in Product Management, Strategy, or Organizational Leadership. </li><li>Substitutes: Equivalent experience in product strategy, leadership, or innovation may substitute formal education. </li><li>Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in product management or product leadership. </li><li>Minimum 8 years of leadership experience, including indirect leadership across matrixed teams. Experience mentoring product managers and influencing executive-level decisions. </li><li>Proven track record of leading complex product initiatives and cross-functional teams. </li><li>Experience in navigating enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and priorities. </li><li>Experience developing and executing strategies that drive business growth, including Acquisition and Retention. </li><li>Experience developing KPI-driven goals, monitoring data trends, and making data-driven decisions. </li><li>Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; can effectively communicate the results of your (and your team's) work clearly to your audience. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and organizational complexity. </li></ul> <p>Certifications (Preferred):</p> <ul> <li>Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) </li><li>Pragmatic Institute Certification </li><li>SAFE Product Owner/Product Manager </li><li>AIPMM Certified Product Manager </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
