<p>DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The purpose of this class within the organization is to solves organizational information problems by analyzing "as-is" requirements; designing new programs for "to be" conditions in order to optimize business functions and efficiencies; recommends system controls and protocols regarding best practices as well as enhancements or system additions to business related software.</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business. </li><li>Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. </li><li>Develop methodology documents based on self-initiated interviews, diagrams, surveys and workflow analysis </li><li>Research and analyze all aspects of existing business practices and procedures </li><li>Communicate with heads of all departments about common frustrations, hindrances and other issues that interrupt their workflow </li><li>Designs new system programs (e.g., software enhancements) by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications. </li><li>Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. </li><li>Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. </li><li>Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget. </li><li>Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. </li><li>Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures. </li><li>Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users. </li><li>Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. </li><li>Prepares technical reports and dashboards by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. </li><li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. </li><li>Oversee the life cycle of changes to business systems and prepare detailed reports for executive management </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Performs other work as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 25 pounds of force on a regular or recurring basis. </li></ul> <p>TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four (4) years of college education in business, liberal arts or related field.
