To learn more about the Division of Wildlife please visit https://ohiodnr.gov/wildlife.</p> <p>What you will do…</p> <ul> <li>Directs, coordinates & administers overall statewide Fish Management & Research Group activities & programs for the Division of Wildlife. Develops long-range plans and sets priorities within the region for achievement of the agency's goals, objectives, and strategic plan. </li><li>Prepares policies, procedures & programs; monitors & evaluates program & project accomplishments; monitors all phases of fisheries management & research programs. </li><li>Develops statewide programs, projects & procedures and recommends corresponding budgets to restore threatened & endangered species & provides program direction for Federal Aid, Sport Fish Restoration, State Wildlife Grants, Great Lakes Restoration Initiatives & other funding sources. </li><li>Evaluates work progress toward achievement of program objectives & reports to Chief on timely basis. </li><li>Starting hourly pay of $41.23/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $58.91/hr. </li></ul> <p>66 mos. trg. or 66 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver's license.</p> <ul> <li>Or undergraduate major core program & 42 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver's license. </li><li>Or completion of graduate major core program & 30 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver's license. </li><li>Or 6 mos. exp. as Natural Resources Administrator 3, 22913, in assigned area; valid driver's license. </li><li>Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. NOTE: If assigned to work as Law Enforcement Officer, must also hold Ohio Peace Officers Training Council certificate. For positions assigned to perform law enforcement duties, applicants must successfully pass background check by appointing authority which includes polygraph, psychological & medical examination. Applicant must demonstrate physical fitness as outlined in department directive. Final applicant accepted for position will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
