Hunt Transport Services Neuroscience Institute; Washington Regional Walker Heart Institute; Washington Regional Women and Infants Center; Washington Regional Total Joint Center; and Washington Regional Pat Walker Center for Seniors.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The role of the Licensed Practical Nurse reports to the Clinic Manager in coordination with the physician. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care.</p> <p>Essential Position Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history and medications while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system </li><li>Perform any necessary CLIA-waived tests </li><li>Clean room after patient use </li><li>Ensure exam rooms are stocked with appropriate materials </li><li>Appropriately process soiled instruments </li><li>Respond timely to patient messages and inquiries </li><li>Obtain insurance prior authorizations for consultation and/or imaging, as needed </li><li>Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate </li><li>Coordinate any appointment and/or procedures with other providers or facilities, as necessary </li><li>Assist front office staff with daily operations, as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program </li><li>Licensure and Certifications: Licensed practical nurse and CPR, required. </li><li>Experience: Previous experience in a nursing role, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment: This position will spend 50% of the time standing and/or walking frequent short distances and 40% of time sitting in a standard office environment for data input and 10% of time reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or squatting.</p> <p>Qualifications</p>
