<p>The Monitoring & Control Operator will operate the computerized energy and card access management system, maintain building environments, troubleshoot building equipment, diagnose the possible problem and dispatch accordingly.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>High school diploma. Knowledge of HVAC and computer systems</p> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <p>Considered an essential personnel position requiring 24 hour monitoring including holidays.</p> <p>Considered an essential personnel position requiring 24 hour monitoring including holidays.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Monitor alarms for building equipment, room temperatures and critical areas from campus energy and card access management systems.</p> <p>Decipher probable causes of alarms and equipment failures generated from the system and actual occupants. The equipment involved services student housing, academic and research buildings and event locations. Such troubleshooting would result in interacting with the proper maintenance/contractor personnel and dispatch accordingly.</p> <p>Use automated systems to analyze the cause of the alarm and if possible, make corrections to compensate for alarm conditions. For alarms that cannot be resolved online, dispatch to appropriate personnel.</p> <p>Work with field service and operations personnel in troubleshooting and diagnosing building systems.</p> <p>Receive after-hour calls for maintenance, building access, life safety and fire related issues from Public Safety, faculty, staff and students and resolve the issue according to procedures.</p> <p>Work hand-in-hand with zone, Public Safety, other staff and academic personnel in applying competent knowledge in the operations and support of these systems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.</p> <p>Considered an essential personnel position requiring 24 hour monitoring including holidays.</p> <p>All duties required are in an unsupervised environment that requires the abilities of problem solving, organization and multi-tasking.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>NA</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>NA</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
