Lead the RSS grant program team, align program activities with grant outcomes, monitor performance metrics, and develop new initiatives as informed by participant need. Foster and maintain relationships with relevant community resource providers to secure resources and referrals. Supervise other staff working within the RSS grant program.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership, evaluation, and supervision of the RSS grant program team. </li><li>As needed, depending upon RSS grant program team workload, meet with program participants to determine eligibility, conduct intake and develop service plans. </li><li>Monitor the quality of program services and case notes. Provide guidance to team members and adapt to changing case note requirements as dictated by the funder. </li><li>Develop and maintain a network with other community service providers. </li><li>Prepare programmatic reports including a monthly Salesforce report per the grant standards </li><li>Proactively identify program needs, challenges and respond to changes. Then, enact well-thought-out strategies and direct team implementation. </li><li>As needed, provide direct services to participants and make appropriate referrals. </li><li>Attend programmatic meetings. </li><li>Develop and provide community outreach and informational sessions. </li><li>Assist the RIS program director in writing grant proposals for the RSS grant program. </li><li>Work with, and maintain a relationship with vital existing partners including IDHS, Winnebago County Health Department, Catholic Charities- Rockford. </li><li>Work towards performance standards for all programs and hold meetings with staff to work together for goal achievement. </li><li>Attend trainings. </li><li>Maintain a general awareness and understanding of the RSS grant program budgets to help the Program Director ensure funds are spent appropriately and effectively. </li><li>Direct the marketing, communication, and outreach of all RSS grant program events as needed. </li><li>Act as a resource for agencies, schools, councils, employers etc.to promote greater understanding of the needs of program participants. </li><li>If bilingual, provide interpretation and/or translation services to program participants. </li><li>Show flexibility and understanding in dealing with persons from diverse, social, economic and educational backgrounds. </li><li>Accept appropriate additional responsibilities as requested. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Regular attendance is expected. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree required in Sociology, Psychology, or other related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years' experience working with immigrants and/or refugees </li><li>Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership position. </li><li>Proficient in computer software including Word and Excel </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships (including with outside agencies). </li><li>Flexibility and ability to multi-task. </li><li>Preferred: Bilingual in either Spanish, French, Arabic, or Swahili. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
