<p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a strong, student-centered approach to teaching and learning. </li><li>Develops positive and collaborative relationships with students, staff, families, administration, members of the Board of Education, community members, and other educational stakeholders. </li><li>Develops positive relationships with middle school students and demonstrates strong behavior management skills. </li><li>Demonstrates a problem-solving and restorative approach to disciplinary matters, assigning consequences in an equitable manner in accordance with the Student Handbook and Board Policy. </li><li>Communicates clearly and in a timely manner with parents and caregivers to build collaborative relationships. </li><li>Leads and supports staff members in the implementation of PBIS, CHAMPS, restorative practices, and effective behavior management strategies to meet a variety of student needs. </li><li>Assists in the design, implementation, progress monitoring, and communication of behavior intervention plans; ensures fidelity of implementation. </li><li>Analyzes student discipline and attendance data to support collaborative review and action planning. </li><li>Monitors student attendance and tardiness; follows established response protocols and develops plans for improvement. </li><li>Supervises and coordinates lunch and recess programs. </li><li>Monitors hallways and common spaces to ensure student safety and promote a positive school environment. </li><li>Partners with the Student Support Team and respective interns to guide student and family support efforts. </li><li>Participates in and contributes to school leadership meetings, as well as weekly Grade Level Team, Special Education Team, and Specials Team (fine arts, performing arts, and physical education) meetings. </li><li>Leads school teams or committees as assigned by the Principal and supports district initiatives as assigned by the Superintendent. </li><li>Partners with the Principal to select, supervise, and evaluate staff members in accordance with district and state guidelines. </li><li>Partners with the Principal to provide staff with high-quality professional development aligned to school and district initiatives. </li><li>Supports instructional improvement efforts through staff coaching, classroom observations, and collaborative problem-solving. </li><li>Attends district and school events during the school day, after school, evenings, and weekends to supervise students and celebrate achievements. </li><li>Supervises athletic and extracurricular events and summer school in collaboration with the administrative team. </li><li>Communicates proactively with private providers and community agencies to access relevant resources, information, and support services. </li><li>Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. </li><li>Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills. </li><li>Completes other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent. </li><li></li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Administrative licensure required (Illinois Professional Educator License with Principal Endorsement or equivalent administrative credential). </li><li>Licensed to supervise and evaluate teachers in Illinois (successful completion of teacher evaluation training required). </li><li>Minimum of four years of teaching experience required; middle school experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Salary/Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Base $110,000 to $130,000 </li><li>Board-paid family health, vision, and dental insurance benefit and TRS contribution. </li><li>Competitive compensation package. </li></ul> <p>Additional Notes</p> <p>About Skokie School District 73.5: Skokie School District 73.5 is located in culturally diverse Skokie, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. There are approximately 1,100 students in the three building school district.
