Bonide stands tall as a recognized and respected industry leader, reflecting the trust and admiration we have earned from gardening enthusiasts across the country!</p> <p>Role Summary</p> <p>A bright, organized, analytical, and detail-oriented individual will be placed on the team to directly manage and grow our Mass Merchant and Club retail customers including Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Costco, and BJs Wholesale. The Key Account Manager must apply a wide range of knowledge, skills, and abilities to grow our business through implementation of new product placement, building customer relationships, and delivering on key MAPS objectives (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving).</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Meet and exceed the annual net sales and profit strategy for assigned accounts. </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Retail partners. </li><li>Develop and deliver distribution, promotion, merchandising, & pricing strategies. </li><li>Leverage data (POS, Retail Link, IRI, Nielsen) to drive insights and optimize performance. </li><li>Create and deliver new product/line review presentations. </li><li>Partner with internal teams to: </li><li>Manage day to day execution and maintain retail partner account. </li><li>Achieve or exceed KPIs (in-stock, fill rate, compliance, etc.) </li><li>Develop and maintain customer item level forecast. </li><li>Communicate and resolve conflicts. </li><li>Identify opportunities that can be addressed through innovation and collaboration. </li><li>Be the voice of the customer internally. </li><li>Attend customer meetings and trade conferences as appropriate. </li><li>Educate customers and consumers about our products at special retailer events. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Skill and Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>5+ years in CPG or retail sales, with proven experience managing Walmart and/or Target. </li><li>Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills </li><li>Deep knowledge of mass retail operations, planning, and category management </li><li>Proficiency in retail analytics tools (Retail Link, Nielsen/IRI, Numerator, etc.) </li><li>Excellent communication and project management skills </li><li>Knowledge of the gardening or outdoor products industry is a strong plus. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus) </li></ul> <p>Candidate must be able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time.</p> <p>An essential element of Bonide culture is our commitment to diversity.
