Review, audit, and participate in decision support activities related to repair and maintenance activities performed by the HTM staff and the quality assurance of patient care equipment. Provide on-site leadership for all components of the medical equipment management program. Participate in the development of annual goals and objectives related to supporting the growth and development of services in response to the equipment support needs of the organization.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li>Formal Education Required: </li></ol> <p>a. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Experience & Training Required: </li></ol> <p>a. Five years of progressively responsible experience in the biomedical/imaging service industry which has provided leadership skills.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: </li></ol> <p>a. Knowledge of many different types of patient care equipment.</p> <p>b. Ability to use basic computer applications to include (but not limited to); e-mail systems, word processing, spreadsheets and CMMS systems.</p> <p>c. Ability to evaluate maintenance and cost data related to medical equipment.</p> <p>d. Ability to evaluate equipment service needs and communicate with clinical equipment users on proper device use and safety.</p> <p>e. Ability to evaluate staff and outside vendor staff productivity and to ascertain quality of equipment support services provided by both hospital and outside vendor staff.</p> <p>f. Ability to write reports and make presentations on operational and technical issues.</p> <p>g. Basic understanding of both local and national public safety and regulatory issues.</p> <p>h. Basic understanding of project management terms and methods.</p> <p>i. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Level of Physical Demands: </li></ol> <p>a. Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.</p> <p>b.
