That's why we are relentless about hiring top employees who can build authentic, and loving relationships with students.</p> <p>Position: Occupational Therapist</p> <p>Location: To be determined - assigned to the Student Services Division</p> <p>State Date: August 2025</p> <p>Reports to: Principal/Director of Student Services</p> <p>Compensation: Refer to current teacher salary scale on District website</p> <p>Work Year: 10 months</p> <p>POSITION GOAL:</p> <p>To create and sustain an educational environment conducive to the fulfi llment of the District's Mission so that maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized. A teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction based on the approved curriculum and Common Core State Standards to help students move towards academic profi ciency.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:</p> <ol> <li> <p>State of Delaware Professional License as a Occupational Therapist</p> </li><li> <p>Successful completion all fi eld work required</p> </li><li> <p>Master degree</p> </li><li> <p>Profi cient in Technology, Microsoft Offi ce Applications, Children's Educational Software etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates sensitivity to issues impacting various cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Show evidence of knowledge regarding practices known to be effective in promoting student learning while shows evidence of knowledge while increasing student achievement</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates understanding and ability to perform job related tasks. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Assess students to identify occupational therapy defi cits/needs</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates the students' ability and formulates the student's occupational profile through a variety of functional, behaviorally, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews</p> </li><li> <p>Synthesizes evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which refl ects strengths and barrier to student participation in the educational environment; directs program development; and guides evidence-based intervention</p> </li><li> <p>Administers appropriate and required informal and formal assessments based on student needs and State Regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Develops occupationally based interventions plans based on student needs and evaluation results</p> </li><li> <p>Collects and interprets data and utilizes it to modify instruction, content, and to report progress to parents and the school district.</p> </li><li> <p>Summarizes assessment results and provides information to other staff members and administrators for occupational development and/or periodic reviews</p> </li><li> <p>Works with the IEP team (for identifi ed students) or the school-based team to decide what type of occupational therapy is needed for the student to be successful</p> </li><li> <p>Write evaluation reports and maintain case records for students</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates /communicates with related service providers, parents, and school district staff</p> </li><li> <p>Follows the appropriate protocols when questions, issues, and/or concerns arise</p> </li><li> <p>Apprises all parties who have a legitimate educational interest in the student of meetings, concerns, progress, and other issues</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes and maintains a cooperative and professional relationship with peers, support staff, parents, administration, agency staff and school district personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Complies with Federal, State and Local Regulations and Policies</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains clinical and administrative records in accordance with professional standards, state regulations, and school policies</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately completes all required paperwork within the designated timelines.
