<p>The Team Leader, Shipping & Receiving will share his/her time between shipping and receiving support (Daily management, Planning, Standard work, Training, Materials) and acting as a floating shipping and receiving labor resource to provide back-up and support increased demand. The Team Leader is proficient and capable of working in all shipping and receiving areas, completing all job duties and responsibilities, with minimal oversight and direction. They will proactively communicate problems/issues as they arise as well as recommending solutions to their supervisor and assisting to resolve them quickly. The Team Leader is responsible for on-boarding and cross-cell training for employees in their area of responsibility. The Team Leader must embrace FBS (Fortive Business System) and use the tools to drive continuous improvement.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Acts as floater between shipping and receiving cells to provide back-up for employees who are out and/or where production demand requires more labor capacity (Approximately 50% of time). </li><li>Supports Shipping & Receiving in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity through daily management and FBS tools. </li><li>Trains, promotes and ensures employee adherence to all safety policies and regulations. Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area at all times. Actively participates or leads team safety-related activities, including but not limited to: near miss program and safety marathon. </li><li>Ensures adherence to all ISO quality policies and the achievement of customer quality targets. </li><li>Complete daily gemba walk with all responsible cell/mfg. areas </li><li>Actively participates in value stream SQDIP meeting representing the voice of the process. </li><li>Ensure all daily tasks (hour-by-hour, 5S, Kamishibai, First / Last / 2nd level inspections) are being completed in a timely manner by team. </li><li>Works with the Supervisor to plan and prioritize daily work and "expedites" through each cell to meet or exceed customer request. </li><li>Ensures process discipline to standard work and one-piece flow. </li><li>Communicate lack of or excess labor based on scheduled demand to his/her supervisor. Rotate team members to different cells/tasks based on work load. </li><li>Schedules and conducts on-boarding and cross-cell training for associates. </li><li>Champions FBS lean manufacturing principles in cells. Participate in lean kaizens and blitz's. </li><li>Works with Sales, customer service and engineering to expedite products to the customer </li><li>Gives feedback to team members on tasks or job-related performance. Escalates behavioral or on-going performance issues to his/her supervisor. Proactively provides input to supervisors regarding performance management of team members. </li><li>Responds to team member questions and concerns in a timely manner. </li><li>Address policy violations with team members when observed and communicate to supervisor </li><li>Provides direction in the absence of his/her supervisor. </li><li>This employee may be assigned other duties and responsibilities at the discretion of his/her supervisor. </li><li>Drives company vehicle to support deliver/pick up of company products and supplies (as a back-up). </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required (2-year technical degree preferred) </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) or more years of lean manufacturing work experience. </li><li>Aptitude to learn all Shipping & Receiving operations to backfill any position based on business need. </li><li>Ability to make base level decisions for product line(s) and processes in which the associate supports. </li><li>Prior experience operating basic manufacturing and inspection tools and equipment. </li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to create and follow schedules. </li><li>Good computer skills including ability to navigate web-based and MS Office applications as well as MRP software. </li><li>Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read / interpret drawings and relevant documents and reports </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact at various levels within the organization. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including but not limited to: strong active listening skills; ability to provide reinforcing or development feedback in a constructive, respectful way; good conflict management skills; solid influencing skills. </li><li>Ability to teach/train others new tasks. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team member in a process oriented, rapidly changing, fast paced, hands-on environment. </li><li>Individual must embrace FBS (Fortive Business System) and use the tools to drive continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. </li><li>Must be self-motivated, self-directed and act with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. </li><li>A flexible schedule and regular overtime with potential for Saturday is a requirement of this position. </li></ul> <p>#LI-JW2</p> <p>Ralliant Corporation Overview</p> <p>Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
