<p>\n <\/head>\n \n</p> <p>This is a remote position.<\/p>\n</p> <p>\n Lumenance is seeking qualified engineers with experience designing wire harnesses and packaging electromechanical items in transportation applications (e.g. automotive, aerospace, specialty vehicles) using CATIA V5\/V6.</p> <p>\n <\/div>\n</p> <p>\n <\/div>\n</p> <p>This is a 3-month, fully remote contract position. <\/b></p> <p>\n <\/div></p> <p>Job duties:<\/h4>\n \n Independently develop professional, manufacturable, cost effective wire harness designs</p> <p><\/li>\n Interface with vehicle or equipment electrical system designers to ensure basic electrical requirements are understood and implemented</p> <p><\/li>\n Develop wire harness routing designs in 3D using CATIA V5\/V6. This includes ensuring all harnesses are routed safely and securely and properly connect to applicable electrical units and mating harnesses</p> <p><\/li>\n Develop clear, readable wire harness drawings (in CATIA V5\/V6) conforming to customer and industry drafting standards</p> <p><\/li>\n Interface with wire harness suppliers to address Design for Manufacturability issue</p> <p><\/li>\n Design brackets and other mounting fixtures to secure wire harnesses and related electromechanical devices in the vehicle<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n</p> <p>\n <\/div><\/span></p> <p>Requirements<\/h3>Education</p> <p><\/h4>\n \n Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline</p> <p><\/li>\n <\/ul>Required Skills</p> <p><\/h4>\n \n Above average ability to use CATIA V5\/V6 for the design of wire harnesses and related components (e.g. brackets)</p> <p><\/li>\n Solid grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering principles applicable to the design of wire harnesses and vehicle electrical systems</p> <p><\/li>\n Able to interface with team members (system engineers, test engineers, project managers, etc) to ensure electrical system functional requirements are achieved for the project</p> <p><\/li>\n Able to interface with other functional areas (interior, engine, transmission, etc) to ensure their design constraints are understood and properly considered when designing a harness</p> <p><\/li>\n Must be able to communicate in English in a technical environment (both written and oral)</p> <p><\/li>\n Must be able and willing to take initiative to get the job done.
