Our Housekeeping team plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for travelers, meeting guests, and colleagues every day.</p> <p>The Temporary Housekeeping Supervisor supports daily housekeeping operations by overseeing room attendants and housepersons, ensuring guestrooms and assigned areas meet Grand Hyatt standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This role helps drive room readiness, supports service recovery, and partners with Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry to deliver a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading in a fast-paced, high-occupancy environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Daily Operations & Room Readiness</p> <ul> <li>Supervise daily housekeeping operations across assigned floors/areas to ensure rooms are cleaned and released on time. </li><li>Coordinate priorities such as early arrivals, VIP rooms, group turns, stayovers, and special cleaning requests. </li><li>Monitor productivity, quality, and workflow; adjust assignments based on occupancy and business needs. </li><li>Conduct pre-shift briefings, communicate updates, and ensure smooth shift handoffs. </li></ul> <p>Quality Assurance & Inspections</p> <ul> <li>Inspect guestrooms and corridors to confirm standards for cleanliness, presentation, and safety. </li><li>Ensure re-clean requests are addressed quickly and thoroughly prior to room release. </li><li>Identify trends and coach team members to improve consistency and reduce rework. </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership & Coaching</p> <ul> <li>Provide day-to-day direction, support, and coaching to Room Attendants and Housepersons. </li><li>Assist with onboarding and training on procedures, cleaning standards, chemical safety, and guest privacy protocols. </li><li>Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive culture aligned with Hyatt values. </li></ul> <p>Guest Service & Service Recovery</p> <ul> <li>Respond to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally. </li><li>Coordinate service recovery actions and communicate outcomes to leadership as needed. </li></ul> <p>Coordination with Other Departments</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Front Office on room status, readiness priorities, and guest requests. </li><li>Submit and track maintenance issues through the work order process; follow up with Engineering for timely completion. </li><li>Collaborate with Laundry/Linen to ensure adequate linen/terry par levels and timely delivery. </li></ul> <p>Safety, Security & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Reinforce safe work practices, including PPE use, proper chemical handling, and ergonomic lifting. </li><li>Ensure adherence to lost and found procedures, key control, and guest privacy/DND protocols. </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, re-cleans, and daily operational needs. </li></ul> <p>This is an hourly position with compensation from $31.93 per hour.
