<p>Job Title: Scientist I, Production (Chemistry)</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Scientist I to join our production team in the Chemistry department. The successful candidate will perform organic chemistry syntheses within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for understanding written production documents and performing processes to maintain product inventory. Your scientific understanding of team products and their applications will be essential to your success in this role.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform organic chemistry syntheses in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Produce and analyze reagents, components, and finished products according to the manufacturing plan. </li><li>Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished products using advanced ERP functions. </li><li>Analyze and interpret scientific data utilizing specialized technical knowledge. </li><li>Communicate effectively with representatives from other departments and teams. </li><li>Participate in team activities such as conflict resolution, team building, and scheduling. </li><li>Identify manufacturing problems and recommend necessary corrections. </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing and product development work. </li><li>Evaluate, revise, or create process documents ensuring quality standards are met. </li><li>Strive to improve product quality and establish efficient manufacturing processes. </li><li>Participate in new product development and process improvement activities. </li><li>Work with EH&S to ensure safety guidelines are followed. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong technical writing skills. </li><li>Excellent time management and the ability to work independently. </li><li>Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to formulate and solve problems. </li><li>Proven leadership and work direction skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent discipline. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in an Organic Synthesis Chemistry/Production Lab. The work environment includes a combination of lab, office, and production settings.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Rockford, IL.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
