<p>Job Description:</p> <p>TEACHER - MIDDLE SCHOOL SPANISH - 1.0 FTE</p> <p>Milford Public Schools is searching for a dynamic Spanish teacher beginning in August 2025. This teacher will engage middle school students in Spanish learning with a proficiency-based approach to language instruction and a focus on high-quality instruction.</p> <p>Salary and Benefits per contract.</p> <p>Interested applicants must apply online through the job posting on our website at www.milforded.org in order to be considered for the position.</p> <p>No phone calls please.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined and approved by the district </li><li>Manage the classroom and individual student behavior to maintain an advantageous learning environment </li><li>Design and implement lessons aligned with the MPS Model for High Quality instruction and use assessments to refine curriculum and instructional practices </li><li>Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages open communication between the teacher and learner </li><li>Assist in the development of curriculum guides and collaborate on the selection of relevant resources and other educational materials to support the development of the MPS ASL program </li><li>Participate in professional learning to improve instructional practice and positively affect student achievement </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with teaching in a multicultural environment </li><li>Ability to work effectively with others </li><li>Organizational and problem-solving skills </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>CT State Certification - Spanish, 4-12 (023) preferred </li><li>Fluency in English and Spanish required </li></ul>
