Our service offering includes primary medical care, behavioral health, pharmacy and dental services in an integrated model that provides a comprehensive approach to care for our patients.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Pharmacy Technician I / II - Eligibility position is responsible for assisting the Pharmacists in various pharmacy services including patient eligibility screening for various medication access programs and tracking corresponding applications, requests, and authorizations. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for aiding in medication filling and dispensing processes, in accordance with applicable rules and laws set by governing bodies including the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.</p> <p>THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.</p> <p>Essential Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Assist pharmacists with all medication filling and dispensing processes. </li><li>Provide courteous in-person and telephone customer service to patients. </li><li>Operate cash register. </li><li>Counseling patients with Medicare Part D plan options. </li><li>Troubleshooting insurance issues </li><li>Assess patients for eligibility with various pharmaceutical/vaccine access programs. </li><li>Collect required income and eligibility documentation. </li><li>Assist patients with application processes to medication assistance programs. </li><li>Track application process to determination. </li><li>Coordinate patient pick-up or delivery of medication. </li><li>Request and track refills of program medications. </li><li>Document assistance activities in required software platforms. </li><li>Collaborate with prescribers to submit necessary information and signatures. </li><li>Ensure medication deliveries are checked in and placed into appropriate storage within a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Experience Requirements / Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or GED.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous pharmacy work experience or Community Health Center experience, preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>National Pharmacy Technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>North Carolina Driver License.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Self-directed with good organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Team player.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education Required</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday to Friday</p> <p>8 am - 5 pm</p> <p>8 hour shift</p> <p>Day shift</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Near constant standing and walking, some sitting, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead. </li><li>May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift. </li><li>Frequent computer work required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>401(k) and match </li><li>AD&D insurance </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Disability insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Flexible spending account </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Holidays </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time, On site</p> <p>Base Pay Overview</p> <p>The starting pay for the Pharmacy Technician I is $15.00 hourly and $17.00 for the Pharmacy Technician II. Please keep in mind that actual salary will vary based on various factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the roles.</p>
