<p>Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Investigates issues on enterprise networks and related hardware and software </li><li>The Network Engineer reproduces issues in a lab environment </li><li>Collaborates with vendors to create solutions </li><li>Designs and documents network architecture </li><li>Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps </li><li>Establishes security, connectivity and access parameters </li><li>Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure </li><li>Tests and tunes security devices and systems </li><li>Programs routers and switches </li><li>The Network Engineer implements communications technologies (data or voice) </li><li>Manages network services from planning phase through implementation* Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards </li><li>Experience with RPHY </li><li>Experience with Harmonic CableOS vCMTS and RPDs (Hamonic Pebble 2 and Vecima ERM-32X) </li><li>Ability to write technical documentation </li><li>Ability to write, follow detailed technical test plans and present results </li></ul> <p>Working knowledge of iCMTS platforms including:</p> <ul> <li>Casa C100G </li><li>Arris E6000 </li><li>Cisco cBR8 </li></ul> <p>Working knowledge of EPON platforms including:</p> <ul> <li>ADTRAN 95XX and Distributed Access Architecture ROLTs SDX-6210 </li><li>Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture ROLTs SF-4X </li></ul> <p>Working knowledge of switch platforms including:</p> <ul> <li>Cisco NCS/ASR </li><li>Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX </li></ul> <p>Working knowledge of routing protocols including:</p> <ul> <li>OSPF </li><li>ISIS </li><li>BGP </li><li>v4/v6 Multicast </li></ul>
