This position description does not represent in any way a contract of employment. </li></ul> <p>Principal Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the direction of automotive classroom laboratory training operations </li><li>Oversee laboratory training operation </li><li>Set-up and coordinate laboratory activities with instructors </li><li>Provide instructional support with students in performing laboratory activities </li><li>Maintain and inventory classroom, laboratory areas, tools, and supplies </li><li>Maintain departmental fleet </li><li>Assist in the updating and maintenance of the automotive computer network system and scan tools </li><li>Support departmental activities with instructors and department chairperson </li><li>Maintain automotive knowledge and ASE certification by attending corporation/update-training classes </li><li>Maintain training environment to meet safety and OSHA regulations </li><li>Maintain and purchase tools, equipment, and supply inventories </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, accompanied with 5 years' work experience in automotive technology, OR an associate's degree accompanied with 3 years' work experience in automotive technology required </li><li>Current ASE certification in a minimum of 4 areas required </li><li>Master ASE certification status will be required in one year from date of hire </li><li>Ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with students and instructors in a supportive role required </li><li>Basic computer skills required </li><li>Ability to exhibit professional leadership skills required </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and other times deemed necessary required </li></ul>
