<p>Classification Title:</p> <p>Student Assistant</p> <p>Classification Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>General Program Support: Provide general support and assistance to MFOS team with scholar engagement (emails, meetings, follow-up etc.), case management, student outreach, signature event support, social media posting etc.</p> <p>Workshops and Seminar Support: Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to organize and facilitate workshops that address the needs of MFOS scholars and first-gen students. The Student Assistant will assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of workshops as well as workshop management (grading on Canvas).</p> <p>Cohort Requirement Support: Provide support in the tracking, management, and reporting of scholar requirements, utilizing data to send early warning notifications, provide alternate assignments, identify at-risk students, and recommend resources to enhance scholar success.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned: Assist the MFOS team with various tasks and projects as needed to support program objectives.</p> <p>Expected Salary:</p> <p>$14.00/hr</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Be available to attend monthly in-services and training meetings throughout each semester </li><li>Commit to working a minimum of 15 hours a week </li><li>Excellent computer skills </li><li>Maintain a 2.0 grade point average </li><li>Attention to detail in composing, editing, and proofreading materials </li><li>Team player who can work independently to achieve a team goal </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Empathetic and understanding approach to supporting the unique needs of first-gen, low-income, or students from underrepresented backgrounds. </li><li>Experience in event planning, advising, and student advocacy. </li><li>Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with campus and external partners. </li><li>Organizational skills and attention to detail for coordinating events, workshops, and meetings. </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants:</p> <p>In order to be considered, you must upload your cover letter and resume.</p> <p>Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.</p> <p>Health Assessment Required: No</p>
