<p>POSITION OVERVIEW:</p> <p>With limited oversight, lead and support strategic initiatives by providing analysis and guidance through application of Network Engineering principles, Quality Driven Management (QDM), planning and efficient reporting tools ensuring network adjustments are implemented to create most efficient engineered linehaul movement.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Design, modernize and ensure appropriate implementation of processes/systems/tools and line haul network adjustments that enable business performance optimization across key operational domain</p> <p>Support optimization efforts as they relate to Network processes, asset planning and utilization, performance measurement, goal setting and reporting</p> <p>Lead and support department and cross functional/opco projects with responsibility for analysis of operational cost areas, coordination of action plans for improvement, and SME role for Network design and/or systems development and implementation</p> <p>Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve linehaul network processes and performance</p> <p>Provide analysis and support of cross-opco and cross-department initiatives</p> <p>Mentor and develop critical skill sets of Network Engineering Specialists</p> <p>Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures</p> <p>Perform other duties as required</p> <p>Disclaimer: This job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Transportation, Business or related field or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years professional experience in Transportation, Operations or applied engineering concepts and technology </li><li>Working knowledge of the modified hub system and inter-regional linehaul network system </li><li>Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage projects, prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals and respond to day to day functional needs </li><li>Experienced with Microsoft Office software and web-based applications </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization </li><li>Good leadership, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Competent ability to anticipate and identify problems and develop effective and efficient solutions </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to travel </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>Pay:</p> <p>Additional Details:</p> <p>FedEx Freight is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.</p> <p>If you have a disability and you need assistance in order to apply for a position with FedEx Freight, please call 800-888-8252 or e-mail at ADAAssistance@freight.fedex.com.</p> <p>FedEx Freight will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because such employee or applicant has inquired about, discussed, or disclosed the compensation of the employee or applicant or another employee or applicant.
