Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Manage the daily operations of the central sterile supply unit.</p> <ul> <li>Develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. </li><li>Collect and report on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement. Work collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment. </li><li>Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement. </li><li>Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system. </li><li>Monitor quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities. </li><li>Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. </li><li>May travel as needed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p> <ul> <li>One or more of the following required: </li><li>Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board </li></ul> <p>for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or</p> <p>job transfer date.</p> <ul> <li>Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile </li></ul> <p>Processing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.</p> <ul> <li>Associates hired or transferred into the role prior to 12/26/21 can be credentialed as a Central </li></ul> <p>Service Tech or Surgical Tech.
