<p>The Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring seamless delivery and routing operations. The Dispatcher ensures the department maintains effective daily communication with drivers, to continually monitor service making proactive adjustments to maximize on time performance and productivity and demonstrate effective use of the dispatch routing software. They will also ensure vehicles are loaded and sequenced to allow for Drivers to successfully run their route.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for managing dispatching and routing tasks, maintaining effective communication with drivers and customers, and optimizing service delivery and operational performance. </li><li>Serve as the liaison between drivers, sales, and customers. Maintain effective communication with drivers to ensure adherence to routes and address any issues that arise. </li><li>Identify and address recurring issues by analyzing trends and collaborating with other departments to implement effective solutions. Handle special orders and provide routing support as needed. </li><li>Foster a positive work environment by supporting programs that embody core values and enhance employee satisfaction. </li><li>Ensure the routing software (Innovo), is efficiently assigning loads and delivery routes in a cost effective and customer service-oriented process. </li><li>Ensure Dispatch and Loading team is successfully routing delivery of loads to internal or external customers within company defined timelines. </li><li>Ensure accurate data is maintained in the dispatch routing software and comply with all company policies and procedures. </li><li>Manage the routing dispatch software for duplicate, invalid, and cancelled orders. </li><li>Oversee the coordination with Customer Experience and Sales on exceptions, rush orders and order changes. </li><li>Communicate with management as needed to maximize efficiency and resolve customer issues. </li><li>Monitor specific reports including open order, delivered versus planned to ensure that all deliveries are being completed in a timely manner. </li><li>Ensures all phone calls and e-mails are handled in a timely, professional and courteous manner. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>3 years of experience in transportation or logistics </li><li>Proficient in dispatch routing software </li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills </li><li>Warehouse Environment, standing and walking for most of the day </li><li>Regular lifting of up to 50lbs </li><li>Ability to effectively lead a group of individuals to successfully achieve goals. </li><li>Commercial driving and/or dispatching experience preferred. </li><li>General knowledge of the electrical industry preferred. </li><li>Proficient computer and technical skills with dispatch routing software. </li><li>Capable of multi-tasking and professionally interacting with others in a fast-paced, work environment. </li><li>Ability to use good judgment, initiative, and make good decisions with limited supervision. </li><li>Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage a workforce to meet customer expectations. </li></ul>
