<p>Department/Unit:</p> <p>Receiving and Distribution - Hosp</p> <p>Work Shift:</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>$38,937.60 - $50,618.88</p> <p>Coordinates daily acquisition, receiving and distribution of material resources for unit/service. Participates in planning and implementing cost effective changes in material systems through inventory management and alternative purchasing.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Establishes and maintains a stock inventory of all supplies for unit/service, using a hand held computer and submits data to the CPD/or performs manual inventory count. </li><li>Generates system restock orders for all inventory sites and processes all supply and equipment requisitions. </li><li>Interfaces with vendors, problem solving and researching unit/service specific products. </li><li>Supplies are received and entered into the inventory system, while coordinating the acquisition and receipt of all non-stock supplies. </li><li>Acts as unit/service liaison in value analysis process, as well as a resource for staff, sharing useful and cost-effective ideas and materials information. </li><li>Orders instruments, maintaining an inventory and tracking any lost or missing items, demonstrating competency in selected psychomotor skills. </li><li>Delegates supply put-away functions and stock rotation as needed. </li><li>Organizes stocked storage areas, returning items for credit, rotating supplies and updating shelving labels. </li><li>Participates in the budget process and achieves targets set for supply budgets. </li><li>Cross-checks quality, quantity, accuracy and completeness of work. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required </li><li>1-3 years in a support position, inventory control - preferred </li><li>Basic business and computer skills are needed, as well as demonstrated planning, interpersonal and communications skills. </li></ul> <p>Thank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center!</p> <p>Albany Medical is an equal opportunity employer.</p> <p>This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
