<p>Responsible for testing raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods as well as auditing the manufacturing process for proper weights, container marking, labeling and overall aesthetics of finished goods.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Performs all required testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods </li><li>Performs first piece inspection on all product lines to ensure proper setup of filling and ink-jet coding equipment </li><li>Audits manufacturing process daily for compliance with all product quality parameters </li><li>Records all test data, properly completing all necessary reports, filling, and maintaining test data </li><li>Test and assist in the investigation of product complaints </li><li>Assists in the evaluation of obsolete, rejected and returned products for reprocessing </li><li>Maintains neatness and orderliness of the Quality Control test lab </li><li>Reports all spills and leaks, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, accidents, near-miss accidents and material shortages immediately to the Production Supervisor </li></ul> <p>This is a 2nd Shift position: Monday through Friday 2pm - 10:30pm</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diplomas and/or 5 years QC experience in a manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. </li><li>Must be capable of wearing Company standard respirators as qualified by a fit test performed by an authorized agency. </li><li>Must pass standard eye exam (corrected or uncorrected) and must pass standard color-tone. </li><li>This position requires consistent wearing of a lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes; with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances. </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Compensation</p> <p>The pay range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $18.00/hour and $28.00/hour.
