By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.</p> <p>Role Overview: Construction Project Lead, Corporate Real Estate - CoStar Group - Richmond, VA</p> <p>Richmond, VA |?In?office, Monday?-?Friday</p> <p>The Construction Project Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of corporate real estate projects, from initial space planning through project completion and occupancy. This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in design and construction, who is directly accountable for managing projects, budgets, schedules, and outcomes-not simply supporting or executing delegated tasks. The position is fully office-based with travel as needed to support active projects.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead space planning and programming efforts for new and renovated office environments</p> </li><li> <p>Review lease documents, including work letters and construction-related provisions, to ensure alignment with project scope and financial expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Develop test fits and design concepts either independently or by managing external architectural and design consultants</p> </li><li> <p>Source, engage, and manage general contractors (GCs), including bidding and contract negotiation</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the preparation and review of construction drawings, including incremental progress sets</p> </li><li> <p>Direct all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain full ownership of project budgets, including tracking tenant improvement (TI) allowances and overall project financials</p> </li><li> <p>Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and financial performance</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including AV/IT, Security, Facilities, and other business units, to ensure seamless project execution</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and manage furniture plans, layouts, and selections in alignment with overall design objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure projects are delivered fully complete and ready for occupancy</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred) from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university</p> </li><li> <p>7+ years of hands-on experience in corporate design and construction project management</p> </li><li> <p>A track record?of commitment to prior employers</p> </li><li> <p>Proven track record of independently leading projects from concept through completion with full accountability for outcomes</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of lease elements related to work letters, construction processes, and design principles</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication, project leadership and decision-making skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>AutoCAD and Revu Bluebeam experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Travel</p> <ul> <li> <p>This is a 100% in-office role; remote work is not available</p> </li><li> <p>Travel required as needed to support project management, site visits, and progress reviews</p> </li><li> <p>Required Travel: minimum 30%</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Competencies</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ownership and accountability</p> </li><li> <p>Project leadership and execution</p> </li><li> <p>Cross-functional collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Attention to detail and quality</p> </li><li> <p>Problem-solving and decision-making</p> </li><li> <p>Working collaboratively with others</p> </li></ul> <p>What's In It?For?You?</p> <p>If?you are?a driven professional looking for a high-growth, high-reward career, CoStar?Group?offers the ideal opportunity.??Be part of a best-in-class company?with strong year-over-year growth?that invests in?your success.
