Let's define tomorrow, together.</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United's global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United's customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>A Central Load Planner provides weight and balance support and performs operational duties in specific areas, including but not limited to: Aircraft loading directions and approval for baggage, customers, cargo, final fuel, and weight and balance related additions and deletions directly related to all weight and balance computations. Additional operational support for charter, non-scheduled operations and station operations functions related to weight and balance.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for planning, development and issuance of baggage and cargo load plans for specific use in determining aircraft weight and center of gravity computations for the Company's regularly scheduled flight operations </li><li>Provides support for station frontline employees using RDL scanners for close-out </li><li>Responsible for supporting the station safety culture through strategic communication concerning MEL's, out of balance, and overweight conditions </li><li>Responsible for partnering with the Dispatch group to ensure minimal weight restrictions when revising weights due to flight plan reroutes and fuel increases </li><li>Responsible for following all FAA required rules and regulations as it pertains to the company's weight and balance system </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, GED or education equivalent </li><li>Education and/or Professional experience demonstrating an ability for strategic planning, analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-orientated performance </li><li>Able to consistently lead in both controlled and uncontrolled environments while making educated decisions based on the Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Business </li><li>Must be flexible and possess the ability to work any shift within a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation including nights, weekends and holidays </li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship </li><li>Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification </li><li>Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position </li></ul> <p>What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):</p> <ul> <li>College degree </li><li>Ramp experience/BTW </li><li>Customer Service experience/ATW </li><li>2+ years' related experience </li><li>Skilled in use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Spotfire and SharePoint </li><li>Skilled in Unimatic and Shares </li></ul> <p>The starting rate for this role is $20.97.</p> <p>United Airlines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
