<p>Overview</p> <p>Kimley-Horn's Denver Tech Center, CO office is seeking an Environmental Permitting Specialist with 3+ years of experience to join their Environmental team! This is not a remote position.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Author due diligence and resource reports and varying project planning documents in support of local (county/municipal) land use permits and federal lands (BLM/Forest Service) applications </li><li>Assess project impacts on the natural, physical, and human environment and, as appropriate, assist in the development of minimization and mitigation measures </li><li>Attend meetings and communicate with clients and various regulatory agencies to identify and fulfill any regulations and requirements relating to projects </li><li>Monitor and adhere to project progress, budgets, and schedules </li><li>Support multidisciplinary teams on a variety of projects, with a primary focus on renewable energy and electric transmission projects </li><li>Build internal and external professional relationships </li><li>Work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of relevant experience, including land use permitting and/or NEPA documentation in Colorado and/or adjacent states </li><li>Bachelors or Masters Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Socioeconomics , or related field </li><li>Ecological field work and evaluation of community values experience preferred </li><li>Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports </li><li>Working knowledge or strong interest in ArcGIS </li><li>Enjoy working in both an office environment and in the field </li><li>Interest in working with planners and designers to avoid and minimize project impacts and find creative solutions to move projects forward </li><li>Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed </li><li>Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines </li><li>Desire to provide exceptional client service </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to enjoy work independently and on a team </li></ul> <p>Salary Range</p> <ul> <li>$90,000 - $120,000 </li><li>Eligible for performance-based bonuses </li></ul> <p>#LI-BD1</p> <p>Why Kimley-Horn?</p> <p>At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
