<p>Setting: Outpatient</p> <p>Team: General Cardiology</p> <p>Hours: M-F, 40 hours a week | no weekends or on call</p> <p>Location: Temple Main</p> <p>Jobs Summary:</p> <p>The Physician Assistant provides medical care and care coordination, increases patient access and contributes to improved quality for patients across all disciplines in the Temple Health University System. The Physician Assistant practices medicine on healthcare teams with physicians and other providers to improve coordination of care and improve patient outcomes. The Physician Assistant takes medical histories, conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats illnesses, orders and interprets tests, develops treatment plans, counsels on preventive care, assists in surgery and writes prescriptions all in accordance with their scope of practice, licensure guidelines, and in collaboration with the supervising physician.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct follow-up visits for general cardiology patients, including assessment, management, and coordination of care. </li><li>Collaborate closely with attending cardiologists to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care. </li><li>Providing clinical guidance and ensuring adherence to anticoagulation protocols for warfarin-dependent patients. </li><li>Monitor and adjust anticoagulation therapy based on lab results and clinical guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree Required </li><li>Other Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Required </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology, internal medicine, or a related specialty. </li><li>Proficiency in interpreting EKGs, echocardiograms, and basic cardiac diagnostics. </li><li>Experience with anticoagulation management, including warfarin and DOACs, strongly preferred. </li><li>General Experience in an outpatient / ambulatory setting Preferred </li><li>General Experience with EPIC EMR Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses</p> <ul> <li>Certified Physician Assistant Required </li><li>PA Medical Physician Asst Lic Required </li><li>Basic Life Support Required </li></ul> <p>'357794</p>
