<p>Overview</p> <p>United Community is looking for Special Assets Administrative Support Specialist I</p> <p>to support and perform administrative duties relating to Special Assets Management. Play an active role in the department to minimize loss to the bank.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Assist with various projects and maintain records on departmental trends. </li><li>Provide administrative support to Special Assets Management personnel. </li><li>Handle incoming inquiries related to Special Assets Management with minimal supervision. </li><li>Maintain files on property taxes and communicate with tax service providers. </li><li>Review and prepare invoices for payment; review and pay property taxes. </li><li>Compile and maintain information on spreadsheets regarding unpaid taxes, appraisal orders, etc. </li><li>Maintain past due queues and transfer loans into Special Assets Management, including coding systems. </li><li>Correspond with various departments for loan booking and transfers. </li><li>Order supplies for the department. </li><li>Order flood certifications, title updates, and appraisals on Special Asset loans. </li><li>Book closing packages and loan payments. </li><li>Research taxes, deed information, property records, and other real estate-related data online. </li><li>Serve as backup for Loss Mitigation support specialist administrative duties. </li></ul> <p>Requirements For Success</p> <p>Required Skills/Experience/Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience in a credit-related position preferred. </li><li>Good telephone and customer service skills. </li><li>Strong communication and public relations skills. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. </li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment. </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong documentation knowledge. </li><li>General knowledge of legal documentation and real estate document perfection. </li><li>Solid understanding of financial institution policies and procedures. </li><li>Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. </li><li>Ability to learn Navigator, Director, Shaw, and other operating systems used by Special Assets Management and Loss Mitigation. </li><li>Completion of all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills/Experience/Education:</p> <ul> <li>Strong documentation knowledge. </li><li>Familiarity with real estate and legal documentation processes. </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to pass a background & credit check. </li><li>This is a full-time position requiring schedule flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. </li></ul> <p>Travel: Up to 20% travel required.</p> <p>FLSA Status:</p> <ul> <li>Non-Exempt </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>USD $32,146.00 - USD $45,185.00 /Yr.</p>
