<p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. </li><li>Integrate a knowledge base from physiology, pathophysiology, and cardiac device function to perform competent evaluations, diagnostic review, and overall analysis through remote monitoring and in office checks. </li><li>Recognize abnormal functions of pacemakers, defibrillators, ILRs and CRT devices and recommend strategies to address and correct issues. </li><li>Escalate abnormalities according to physician notification protocol. </li><li>Works well with physicians, support staff and patients on a variety of levels. </li><li>Maintenance and troubleshooting of clinic and remote monitoring equipment. </li><li>Help with patient education about events on monitor. </li><li>Maintain monitoring equipment in good working order. </li><li>Provide an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion and respect for all patients, families and visitors. </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications/Education:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of EKG course preferred </li><li>Experience preferred in related field-nursing, medicine, electronic medical devices or Telemetry </li><li>Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE)-preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses and/or Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required </li></ul> <p>Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses.
